Craig Weber
Owner, Senior Engineer
Craig’s interest in IT began early. He was already building an IT network for his graduate school’s lab while running his own small computer business in college. After graduating from Southern Illinois University Carbondale, Craig began his professional career in 2003 as a desktop and server consultant at Alliance Technology Group, where he worked alongside Version2 partner Jeff Johansen. His strong desire to grow his technology skills propelled Craig’s career; he advanced to senior engineer and team lead at Netrix, an IT managed service provider, before joining Version2 in 2009 as an owner/partner. Craig works with Version2 clients to drive their technology as a business booster rather than just a necessity. He resides in the far northwest suburbs of Chicago with his wife, Julie, and their three children. Together they enjoy boating, snowboarding and working on their small farm.
Jeff Johansen
Owner, Senior Engineer
Jeff has been working in the IT industry for over 25 years, back when Windows 3.0 was first released. In the late 1990s, he started his first IT services company and has been an owner or partner in every organization since. Jeff was a partner and director of network services with Alliance Technology Group prior to founding Version2, LLC in the early 2000s. From the beginning, Jeff’s mission has been to provide reliable and affordable enterprise-level IT solutions to small and medium-sized businesses. At Version2, he specializes in hosted offerings that involve virtualization, storage, and networking technologies. Jeff resides in the southwest suburbs of Chicago. In his off time, you’ll find him enjoying his Harley-Davidson motorcycle, practicing his golf game in the summer and riding his Polaris snowmobile in Northern Wisconsin in the winter.
