“We trust Version2 because we know that as our business evolves, they are looking out for our best interests. They never forget us.”

Christine Lies, President
The Interior Design Group Ltd.
The Interior Design Group (IDG) is a premier architecture and interior design firm focused on exceptional workplace environments in the Chicagoland area. The company’s IT consisted of in-house servers and workstations when it retained Version2 in 2009.
When IDG decided to move its office in 2018, its IT goal was maximizing the new space by eliminating the on-site server, establishing capabilities for off-site access to files and help with the management of licenses and software updates. Version2 developed a solution to transition the business to Hybrid Workplace. A priority for the transition was to maintain the capabilities of the 2D and 3D programs that IDG uses for its visually intensive design process. Version2’s solution incorporated GPU-accelerated cloud servers that maintain the speed and accuracy of the graphics programs both onsite and offsite. While Covid impacted the ability to work remotely for many design businesses, IDG easily kept their teams working with full IT capabilities from their remote locations.

“We consider Version2 a true partner in our business. We don’t worry about anything related to our IT because Version2 is always ahead of the game. Their Virtual Office solution was a godsend.”
Steve Spoerl, President
Simple Logistics, LLC
Simple Logistics is a third-party logistics choice for customers and carriers looking to simplify their transportation challenges. In 2015, the company was seeking a solution to what had become an increasingly complicated on-premise IT infrastructure that would find the teams scrambling each month to close business and continually purchasing new server equipment. With over 100 employees, company leaders asked Version2 for a solution that would simplify their IT and accommodate its team members across the country.

Version2 evaluated Simple Logistics’ business model and recommended their Virtual Office hosted solution. Given the go-ahead, Version2 transitioned the entire company to Virtual Office, a platform that remains in place today. Leadership at Simple Logistics continues to rely on Version2 and their 99.99% uptime guarantee to ensure that all team members enjoy uninterrupted workdays. And, when Covid precautions necessitated working from home, the company easily transitioned, with employees moving their location but never losing their ability to access to data and collaborate.

“Version2 quickly and cost-effectively established the IT solution necessary to move our business forward. They provide a team of experts, not just one person, who are consistently reliable, patient and accessible.”
Greg Ney, CPRP Superintendent of Recreation
Buffalo Grove Park District
The Buffalo Grove Park District plays a key role in maintaining the Village of Buffalo Grove’s reputation as one of the best places to live in Illinois. With year-round events, classes and enviable facilities, including a golf dome, fitness center, pool and arts center, the park district is an important hub for community engagement.
IT Security and uninterrupted connectivity are critical to the park district because the public accesses all programming and registrations through the Buffalo Grove Park District website. In 2008, Version2 was tasked with upgrading the district’s IT systems. The Version2 team designed a wide area network (WAN) to connect the district’s 11 separate buildings through its centralized off-site server -- a solution that serves the park district today. In addition, the IT infrastructure allows the district’s 65 in-house employees to access their data from any location, making remote working easy. As its managed IT service provider, Version2 is considered a trusted partner and is closely involved in budgeting and planning with the district’s leaders each year.

"Version2 understands our business. In the eight years working with Version2, we have not had one single IT problem. Version2 not only accommodates our growth, but anticipates our future needs."
Keith Miller, General Manager
Starved Rock Wood Products
Starved Rock Wood Products offers fine quality custom-designed wood products to consumer and commercial clients. The company combines time-honored craftsmanship with leading-edge technology, and much of its equipment relies on an IT infrastructure.
In 2014, Starved Rock Wood Products sought a new IT service provider. When Version2 began working with Starved Rock Wood Products, the company had about 12 computers at one site but rapidly expanded to four locations and over 80 technology endpoints. Version2's solutions
accommodated each level of growth while anticipating future needs. The team designed a high availability, fully redundant server environment protected by multiple backups so that Starved Rock Wood Products can continue to develop and serve its customers at a rapid pace. The on-site solution allows employees to stay connected to company data from any location or their home offices. Version2 serves as the virtual CIO (VCIO) for Starved Rock Wood Products and manages all IT, including updates and security, as the company evolves.
